What are Skin Tightening PDO Threads?

Skin tightening PDO threads are specifically for skin rejuvenation, they work by tightening and thickening the skin. These threads differ to the threads used in the Full Face Lift, as they do not use long barbed threads to lift tissues, though they still provide improvement to fine lines and wrinkles through collagen production. The skin tightening threads come in a variety of textures including mono & double screw. Mono threads are smooth with no barbs and activate gradual skin tightening and rejuvenation, rather than lift. Double screw threads provide volume to the area treated, again ideal for patients wanting tighter and rejuvenated skin.

What areas can be treated?

• Cheek Lift
• Eye lift
• Brow Lift ( Fox brow lift, Fox eye lift )
• Neck lift & Jowls
• Under eye
• Butt tightening
• Elbows/Knees
• Jawline Tightening
• Nose to mouth lines
• Arms
• Forehead & brows
•  Marionette lines
• Abdomen

How do they work?

Skin tightening PDO threads are made of  Polydioxanone which is a flexible and durable absorbable polymer. Post treatment, the threads induce production of collagen in the skin which results in a tightening effect. The threads are eventually absorbed by the body.

Matrix Mono Threads

Matrix mono threads are smooth with no barbs, making them minimally invasive. These threads are usually inserted in a criss-cross pattern in order to achieve the best result. Matrix mono threads are great for skin tightening and rejuvenation rather than lift. They are particularly good for rejuvenating collagen to treat neck sagging, forehead lines and facial wrinkles.

Matrix Double Screw Threads

Matrix double screw threads differ to mono threads as they have 1-2 intertwined threads which result in volume to the treated area. These threads are great for patients wanting skin tightening and rejuvenation on the face and body.

When will I see results?

The results best results can be seen 2-6 months after the procedure, though results can begin to be seen around 6 weeks post treatment. Although the threads slowly dissolve, results will be seen for up to 12 months.
