TruAge & TruHealth Epigenetic Testing

We now offer TruAgeand TruHealth, two epigenetic blood tests that analyse patterns of DNAmethylation and provide information about biological ageing and a range ofhealth-related biomarkers.

What do the tests measure?

TruAge provides estimates of biological age and rate of ageing based on epigenetic markers. The report also includes estimates relating to the biological ageing of individual organ systems.

TruHealth provides a broader analysis of more than 100 reported biomarkers associated with areas such as nutrition, metabolic health, cardiovascular health and immune function.

These results are best considered alongside your medical history, symptoms, examination findings and other clinically appropriate investigations. They are not intended to diagnose a medical condition or replace standard diagnostic testing.

How is testing performed?

Rather than using an at-home finger-prick collection, yourblood sample is collected by venepunctureduring a consultation. Where appropriate, this may be performed at the sametime as other blood tests you require.

Testing arranged through the clinic also provides access toa practitioner report, allowing us to review and discuss the findings in thecontext of your individual health circumstances.

The tests can be repeated over time. Where clinicallyappropriate, repeat testing may provide additional information about changes inmeasured epigenetic markers. Results should not, however, be interpreted inisolation as evidence that a particular diet, supplement or treatment hascaused a change in health or ageing.
